Focus River Falls Open House
Join us anytime between 4:30pm - 6:30pm February 9, 2023 at City Hall lower level (222 Lewis St.) to chat directly with the City planners and consultants whom prepared the plan to answer any questions or get more information how these plans were formulated, will be utilized and why they are important!

Pop-up at the Food Pantry
Focus River Falls had a pop-up at the food pantry at the end of September. We interacted with many folks whom expressed their gratitude or concerns for the City's services. We appreciated all feedback and grateful to the River Falls Food Pantry for letting us set up and talk with their patrons. Here's a picture of the setup!
Football Pop-up
Focus River Falls had a pop-up at a football game in Hoffman Park. Thanks for coming out and talking with us!
Art on the Kinni
Focus River Falls had a booth at Art on the Kinni and it was a really successful event with a lot of community conversations! We connected with approximately 80 residents and gathered some great feedback!

Continuing our conversation from July we wanted to hear from more stakeholders in these focus area!
Bike Tour
In the morning we took a 3.5 mile group bike ride to discuss experiences, current route conditions and opportunities for improvements. We appreciate everyone who came out to participate!
River Falls Days ~There's no place like home~
Focus River Falls had a booth at the Meet River Falls event for River Falls Days. We had a great turn out and so happy that we got more people to share their thoughts about the type of development they would like to see and where in the city. We had great conversations and awesome participation!
Pop-up at Farmer's Market
Focus River Falls attended the Farmer’s Market at Rush River Brewing on Thursday, July 23. Staff shared information about the Focus River Falls planning process and asked for community input on future development needs in the area. Attendees were encouraged to “add a sticker” to preferred development types and use blocks to “build” a future version of downtown River Falls.
Walking tour
Thursday, June 23rd at 5:30 PM the Bike and Pedestrian Steering Committee Members and Plan Commissioners took a one mile walk around the downtown are and surrounding neighborhoods to identify issues and opportunities in our inventory of existing walking conditions in addition to focusing on possible improvements to our sidewalk and trail network.
Earth Fest 2022
Earth Fest 2022
Sunday, April 24, 2022, 2:00 – 5:00 PM. Earth Fest 2022 was a free community celebration of the past, present, and future sustainability efforts in River Falls and the surrounding area. City of River Falls staff had a booth to talk about the comprehensive plan, get resident feedback, and provide information on the process.
This family-friendly event included live music, fun family activities, food sampling, a sustainability fair, free giveaways, and more.
Earth Day Event
Join us at 5 pm at Veteran's park for a discussion about sustainability and how it will affect the comprehensive plan. Snacks and drinks will be provided!
Focus River Falls Open House Kick-Off Event
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the in-person open house to discuss and learn about all things Comprehensive, Outdoor Recreation and Bike and Pedestrian Planning! City planning staff and planning consulting firm, SRF, hosted a variety of activities to gather feedback and answer questions about these plans and processes. It was a fun event and a great opportunity to get community input on what should be incorporated into these plans!
The early engagement summary is available to review the feedback we have received in these first six months. Some highlights include:
- Natural Resources and Parks being the top emerging theme that the community can be proud of and should continue to invest in.
- Housing and maintaining/increasing local business economy is the most concerning themes that should be addressed.
