The City of River Falls is working on upcoming park improvements at Westdale (533 N Grove St) and Collins Park (502 Powell Avenue). You and your family's feedback is very valuable in this process to understand the needs and wants of the neighborhood and surrounding community. Watch Previous Steering Committee Meetings
- The Park and Recreation Advisory Committee meet to discuss the draft Outdoor Rec Plan. They recommend it to Plan Commission with conditions.
- Park Board met with SRF planning Consultant Stephanie Falkers virtually to discuss updates for the Outdoor Recreation Plan.
- The Outdoor Recreation Plan Steering Committee met to discuss the park inventory and analysis for the draft of the Needs Assessment.
- The City of River Falls Park Board discusses with SRF Consultant, Stephanie Falkers, to review the updates on the park inventory. Stephanie provides the steering committee background on needs assessment standards. Park Board does collaborative activities for insightful discussion on parks. Stephanie updates the group on next steps.
- There was not a quorum but SRF consulting still updates Park Board on the progress of the Parks and Recreation Plan. Some updates include discussion on the preliminary outdoor recreation physical inventory is being reviewed by staff. There will be more pop-up events where planners can talk with the public about recreation planning. There will also be upcoming stakeholder conversations planned. Next month the needs assessment will be discussed.
